Bolivian Mennonite
While on a private hunting expedition through Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia, this mennonite was using a back road that we had set up shop on that morning. Using Spanish I flagged him down and asked if I could take his photo.
Today there are over 70,000 mennonites in Bolivia that make up nearly 6% of the total population. There they live an almost separate existence from the native Bolivians and speak a version of Spanish that can only be heard in the foothills of the Andes.
